Hi! My name is Olivia Bland I am a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill studying Media and Journalism, and I love being part of such an active and connected campus. Being at UNC has given me so many opportunities to meet new people and get involved, and I really try to take advantage of that. I am in a sorority, which has been a huge part of my college experience so far and has helped me build strong friendships and feel at home. A lot of my time is spent hanging out with friends, whether that means going out to eat, walking around campus, or just spending time together. I also enjoy staying active through running and playing pickleball, which is something I have loved for years and continue to do in college.
Outside of my daily routine, I enjoy taking pictures and capturing moments, especially when I am with friends or exploring new places. I have always loved traveling and experiencing different environments, and I hope to study abroad during my junior year to expand that even more. I am really interested in storytelling and media, which is what drew me to my major, and I enjoy finding creative ways to share experiences and connect with others. Overall, I try to stay involved in my school, push myself to try new things, and make the most of my time at UNC both socially and academically while also thinking about my future goals.
